Seven-hundred-and-eighty respondents contributed to the preparation of this report on disability discrimination in schools across Australia. The report provides extensive case-studies of the occurrence of such discrimination, and sets out sensible recommendations to address the situation. Although published in 1997, the issues it raises are no less pertinent.

A Secure Workplace for Young Australians provides nuts-and-bolts advice for employers and advocates who are having difficulties with workplace harassment of young people, or who wish to ensure that it is not a feature of their workplace. The kit includes the state of the law in plain-English, and a number of model protocols that can be immediately applied in the workplace. Strategies for intervening in workplace altercations and preventing workplace violence are set out.
In developing the kit, the NCYLC consulted with employers, employer groups, trade unions and youth advocates, ensuring its relevancy and appropriateness. It was coupled with a series of New South Wales forums in 1998/1999. The kit was supported and sponsored by WorkCover NSW.
