LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

New starters
We welcome our new Sydney University student volunteer, Joanne Yeoh and University of New South Wales student volunteer, Victoria Yu and look forward to continuing the relationship which has been forged between the Centre and the universities in regards to the social justice programme.

We have also welcomed Zoe Ross and Sherry Jong who are working as volunteers at the centre. Other new starters include Jorja Martin ¡V IT support, and Sarah Winter who has returned to the Centre as a volunteer.

Leavers
We sadly farewelled Sophie Clarke, our cyber volunteer coordinator, who accepted a position with the Law and Justice Foundation and we wish her luck and great success. We would like to thank the contributions of our most recent Sydney University representative, Rachel Tan and University of New South Wales representative, Nancy Tchou.

Planning Day
In response to the Planning Day conducted on 14 May 2005, James McDougall has prepared a 1 year work plan which connects with staff performance measures and the Centre budget. The work plan contains four key result areas consisting of:
¡E service delivery;
¡E relationships;
¡E impacting on policy; and
¡E organisational capacity.
The idea is to present a revised strategic directions document to the Board for endorsement at the next board meeting on the 28th July 2005.
