LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

Board of NCYLC

We say a big thank you and farewell to Tim Hardy, who has resigned as the Chair of the Board of NYCLC. We also extend a warm welcome to new Board members Richard Chisholm, Judy Cashmore, Michael Antrum and Pheona Arndell. Michael Antrum has been elected as interim Chair of the Board.

Principal Solicitor

Louise Goodchild, Principal Solicitor and Director of NCYLC, has sadly handed in her resignation. We thank Louise for her hard work and achievements during her two years with NCYLC, and wish her all the best in her career at the Bar. The position of Principal Solicitor/Director has been advertised but is yet to be filled.

Mallesons Secondee

We welcome aboard Stephen Yates who will be the Mallesons secondee at NCYLC for February - April 2005.
Mallesons has also kindly agreed to extend Louise Pounder's secondment for an additional month, so that she can assist with the completion of the CROC report.

Volunteers

We say a very sad goodbye to Carolyn Jones, a volunteer who has been with NCYLC for two years. Carolyn has left to work as a legal tipstaff at the Family Court and we wish her good luck in her new job.

We also say farewell to Sheila O'Connor who completed her Practical Legal Training with NCYLC and is now working for the Legal Aid Commission.

NCYLC is now looking at recruiting some new on-site volunteers. Contact us if you are interested!
