Since Lawstuff was launched in April 1997, it has received significant appraisal and recognition at a national and international level. Most importantly, young people who have used the site have credited the site extensively.

International and National Acclaim

• International winner of the 2001 Cable & Wireless ChildNet Awards in the not-for-profit section.
• Finalist in the Australian Financial Review/Telstra Internet Awards.
• Regularly rated in the top 20 of the Beta Test Site Top 100 websites for most of 1999/2000.
• Highlighted as a major achievement of the NCYLC in the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Human Rights Awards in December, 1999.
• Awarded 3 stars (the top ranking) by the Sydney Morning Herald Careers Section in December, 1999.

Further to this acknowledgment, the NCYLC has been contacted by similar organisations overseas who are keen to develop similar sites, based on news of the Centre's initiative.
