Volunteers

The Centre is grateful for the time, effort and knowledge of volunteer lawyers, law graduates and students across Australia who undertake a variety of tasks in support of the Centre's general advocacy for, and on behalf of children and young people. As a national Centre, volunteers work on-site in Sydney, and off-site nationally via the internet.

On-site volunteers

Our on-site volunteers get involved in a variety of tasks, depending on Centre priorities at the time and the volunteer's own predilections. These tasks include:

Off-site volunteers

The NCYLC has developed a comprehensive program for off-site volunteers. A website has been developed which plays a strategic role in facilitating the national Cyber Volunteer Program (CVP) - a program specifically for those volunteers who will not be based at the Sydney office. The program is managed by the CVP Coordinator Kim Ivantsoff and involves volunteer lawyers across all States and Territories. The program is part of the Centre's commitment to providing a truly national service to children and young people.
